In the background you can see Monument Canyon bathing in the last light of the setting sun and the city of Fruita, CO.
This was quite a difficult lighting situation because the foreground was in dark shades while the background and rocks were glowing in bright sunlight. A ND Grad filter would have been reqiured but I don't have one yet, so I took two exposures, one for the sky and one for the shady areas and stitched them together... Not so satisfied with the result though... |
